Sigrid Arnoldson (1861-1943) was a Swedish soprano who had an active career during the end of the nineteenth and the early twentieth century. She was seen by many as a successor to Jenny Lind and named by some "The new Swedish nightingale"

Madame Sigrid Arnoldson. … Lettering continues: The cast was the same as at Sydenham, with the exception that the blind heroine Nydia, was now undertaken by Madame Sigrid Arnoldson. This young Swedish soprano sang the music very prettily and acted the part with much grace. Madame Arnoldson has, during the past season done excellent work particularly in the rôle of Baucis in M Gounod’s Philémon, a character which she has sustained thirteen times. She has consequently been re-engaged by Sir A. Harris for next year. Madame Arnoldson was one of Sir A Harris's earliest débutantes at Drury Lane in 1887 ...
