Description

Sclerosing cholangitis This is a liver from an adult with sclerosing cholangitis and HIV-2 infection. There is marked pale fibrous tissue around major portal tracts. Sclerosing cholangitis is a common hepatic pathology in HIV infection. It is caused by cryptosporidium, cytomegalovirus (CMV) and microsporidium infection, or may be idiopathic.
