Description

The first in a four-part series of autopsies performed by Gunther Von Hagens and recorded at the Institute for Plastination in Heidelberg, Germany, in front of an international audience of body donors and anatomy students. The series aims to look at the processes of disease and death on the body, and this part focuses on diseases of the blood and circulatory system. Von Hagens dissects the body of an elderly woman while Professor John Lee, Pathologist at Rotherham General Hospital & Hull York Medical School provides a more medically detailed account of the process.
