This work is untitled: the title has been supplied by the cataloguer.
The following description was provided by James Gardiner: "Scene depicted is a mixed drag and uniform group on an elaborately (if poorly) painted 'neo-classical' stage set with painted pillars, curtains and flats, and a small battleship painted on the 'proscenium arch'. Three of the 'ladies' are wearing high-waisted broderie anglaise trimmed summer frocks in the style of the late teens/early 20s., and are carrying parasols."
