Diseased potatoes ...
- Ure, Andrew, 1778-1857.
About this work
Small advertisement placed by Andrew Ure (of 13 Charlotte Street, Bedford Square) on 3 December 1845 disclaiming responsibility for declaring cargoes of potatoes free from disease, as had been wrongly stated in a printed circular issued by G.G. Cummings and Co. The Irish potato famine was causing devastation at the time.
