Description
A documentary examining the events of the bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE) epidemic in Britain 1984-96. The series includes newsclips and extracts from interviews with those involved, including M.P.s, government officials, veterinary surgeons, scientists, doctors and relatives of those who died from Creutzfeld Jakob disease, the human form of BSE. It investigates the background to the delays, errors, obstructions and public relations exercises involved in this disastrous affair.
