The extract describes indigenous vegetable remedies for gangrene, certain skin conditions, burns, measles and smallpox, dysentery, delayed afterbirth, and fevers; it ends by describing antidotes for poisoning by curare quoted by Gilij from the Annual Register for 1769 (Dublin ed., 1773, at p. 522).
