Adam von Bartsch, Le peintre graveur, vol. IX, Vienna 1808, pp. 125, AC no. 17 ("17 Jérôme. Ce saint, vu de profil, dirige ses pas vers la droite. Il porte un livre sous le bras , tient un crucifix de la main gauche , et de l'autre un caillou. Le lion marche à ses pieds. Le chiffre est gravé à la droite d'en bas. Ce morceau est une copie gravée en contre-partie de l'estampe originale de H. S. Beham (Nr. 59 de son oeuvre.) Hauteur : 2 p. 8 lig. Largeur : 1 p. 10 lig.") but in the present print Jerome is walking towards the left, not to the right as described by Bartsch
