![Sewerage and Sewage Disposal• 3 further small works were completed during tlie year, making a total of 19 since the end of the war, to serve small blocks of new Council Houses in various parishes# A further 34 pail closets have been converted, leaving seven to.be finally disposed of during 1951* This mil then put an end to the collection cf wnight soil11 in the town of Pershore. The scheme for Eckington village has finally been approved, and work will begin as soon as it is feasible# A new se?/erage scheme is an urgent necessity for the town of Pershore* HOUSING-* During 1950* 'the Council erected A6 houses, making a post-war total of 22o, 14 houses were built during the year by private bodies. INSPECTION AND SUPERVISION OF FOOD. In addition to the Inspector of Weights and Measures, samples are taken by the Sanitary Inspector*s Staff under the Food.and Drugs Acts, 1928 - 38. There are 32 registered premises for the sale of ice-cream which are regularly supervised* There are no slaughter houses in this area. No oases of food poisoning were reported during the year.
