    both subjects, aged eighteen and fifty-one respectively, were well formed, and one of them tall. In five subjects the excess in length of the second toe over the first was \ inch. The maximum excess in length of the great toe was ^ inch, and it occurred in the case of two subjects, both of whom are described as tall and well formed. The minimum excess was ^ inch, and it occurred in three instances; two of the subjects were tall and well formed. There were two instances in which the second toe exceeded the third toe in length by £ inch, and one instance in which the excess was £ inch. The subjects were tall. The minimum excess in projection of the second toe over the third in adults was -ijj. inch, and it occurred in three cases. Two of the subjects with longer great toes were of Greek origin. TABLE I.
