Life at the cutting edge: creating new medicines.

A group of third year undergraduate students use their knowledge of science and biotechnical engineering to compete in an innovaton competition. They look at how biochemical engineering can help sufferers of diabetes by looking at the condition, the current treatment, the science of insulin, the costing of producing a new drug which will offer an alternative to traditional insulin treatment. They pitch their business idea to a panel of industry professionals as the final part of the competition.
