About this work

Description

"This booklet is presented in the anticipation that it will be of considerable interest and assistance to those having the care of Invalids. The first few pages are devoted to short descriptions of the advantages and utility of Horlick's Malted Milk in various phases of invalidism, and then in the pages following some suggestions are offered for the preparation of light, nourishing dishes which will please the most exacting taste. Our food product not only gives ample nourishment of itself, but greatly increases the nutritive and digestive qualities of other foods when properly combined with them. It enjoys the endorsement of the entire Medical and Nursing Professions, and during the War it was used very largely in Naval and Military Hospitals, Convalescent Homes, and by many Red Cross and similar organisations. It was also supplied to the War Office, Admiralty, R.A.F., Indian Soldiers Fund, Prisoners of War, etc., and it was used extensively by all branches of H.M. Forces. Much satisfaction of its great utility under all conditions has been expressed by those best qualified to speak with authority. We therefore commend this booklet to all who have experienced difficulty in easily and satisfactorily varying the diet of the sick-room." -- From page 3.
