Dolly Sen is a mental health service user and her work explores stigma and frustration with the systems around health care. This collecting tin for a fictional charity ‘Help the normals’ was originally used by her in performances. It challenges depictions of disabled people as being abject recipients of pity and suggests a more positive framing of mental difference.
