On the left of Christ is a man holding a scroll, and on the right is a monastic saint holding an open book. Above are the sun and the moon. According to Baigent, loc. cit., painting in the church of St. John on the Hill (St John the Evangelist), Winchester: "On the north wall of the body of the church are the wall paintings executed in around 1280. Sadly, only a fragment of the magnificent paintings remain, the rest, which would have covered all of the north wall, being removed during Victorian "restorations" in 1853" (website of East Winchester Benefice, 2020, though naming the church as Saint John the Baptist, raising doubt as to whether it is the same church)
