    A.D. 1873, 10th February. N° 480. Stench Traps, &c. LETTEES PATENT to William Pilling, of Salford, in the County of Lancaster, Proprietor of Lowe’s Patent Stench Trap, and Benjamin Harlow, of Macclesfield, in the County of Chester, Engineer, for the Invention of “ Improvements in the Construction op Stench Traps and Grids for Street and other Sewers or Drains.” Sealed the 1st August 1873, and dated the 10th February 1873. PROVISIONAL SPECIFICATION left by the said William Pilling and Benjamin Harlow at the Office of the Commissioners of Patents, I with their Petition, on the 10th Eebruary 1873. We, William Pilling, of Salford, in the County of Lancaster, 5 Proprietor of Lowe’s Patent Stench Trap, and Benjamin Haiilow, of Macclesfield, in the County of Chester, Engineer, do hereby declare the nature of the said Invention of “ Improvements in the Construction op Stench Traps and Grids for Street and other Sewers or Drains,” to be as follows;— 10 This Invention relates to improvements upon that construction of stench trap, well known as Lowe’s Patent, No. 12,798, 12 October, 1840,
