About this work

Description

A Royalist at the beginning of the Civil War, then a Parliamentarian, then active in the return of Charles II, then an oppponent of Charles II's policies. His actions in whipping up anti-Papist frenzy prepared the way for the "Glorious Revolution" which he did not live to see
