Harvey published Ossian's Fingal; an ancient epic poem rendered into English verse by George Harvey (London, 1814).

Inside the front cover is the bookplate of William Edward Wyllys (fl. 1860-1932), and on the front fly leaf a note by Wyllys attributing the manuscript to his great uncle, George Harvey, of Castle Hedingham, Essex. Harvey is said here to have been a colateral descendant of William Harvey, the discoverer of the circulation of the blood.
