Of the 221 live births, 20 were illegitimate births, and represented 9e07o of all live births. Of the defined forms of cancer causing death that affecting the intestine was marginally more prevalent than cancer of the lung and bronchus. Notifiable Disease (other than tuberculosis) The prevalence of this group of diseases was again quits light during 1972. In all 34 cases only were notified, with measles accounting for 28 of these notifications, Tuberculosis No new cases of this disease were notified during 1972, At the end of the year there were 10 known cases of respiratory tuberculosis and 3 known cases of other forms of tuberculosis resident in the Rural District.
