In Anfwer to this, appeared a Paper of Mr. Bland's, in which is produced Affidavits of different People, who had been prefent, fupporting the Truth of the Fadts already mentioned in this Nar¬ rative, proving with a particular Detail, that they had all four given Mr. Bateman up for loft, and had formally fent for the Coroner with his Inqueff, and that Mr. Bland did not deal the Rope, but had taken it up at the earned: Prayers of. Mrs. Bateman, after the other four Gentlemen had laid it down.
