Description

What is wrong with women's health treatment under the NHS? Sheena Macdonald examines a range of women's health concerns ranging from breast cancer, heart disease and the management of childbirth to pre- menstrual tension and cystitis. Are women well served by the remodelled NHS? Why are British death rates from breast cancer the highest in Europe? These and other questions are put to Anna Raeburn (journalist), Dr. Maureen Ramsay (moral philosopher) and a group of health professionals which includes Lesley Page, Professor of Midwifery, Dr. Michael Colmer, Thames Cancer Registry and the Junior Health Minister, Baroness Cumberlege.
