Biographical note

The compiler graduated at Edinburgh in 1877, where he had been a pupil of Lister. He served in the Homoeopathic Hospital in Plymouth and later at the Hahnemann Hospital at Liverpool. He died at Exmouth (see Lancet 1928, ii, 842).
