About this work

Description

Low crawling plant with shiny dark green leaves and insignificant pale green flowers. A plant genus of the family urticaceae which is the most common cause of pollinosis in Mediterranean countries. It is one of the earliest and most active of the hay fever allergens. It is the source of 'allergen Par o I' and of Pollinex used for desensitisation, immunologic. A compress of crushed leaves has been used on simple burns and scalds.
