Description

Antediluviana. Palaeographia sacra or Discourses on monuments of Antiquity that relate to sacred history. No. II. Or Heroologia sacra patriarchalis. Author's holograph MS., with his original drawings, etc. The illustrations are pasted in, and are drawn in pencil, some are folding and each bears Stukeley's signature. There are a few inserted engravings of classical subjects. Pasted in the back cover is the emblazoned arms of Stukeley and Gale in water-colours. Inside the upper cover armorial book-plate of William Stukeley M.D., and his signature dated 1739. Produced in Stamford.
