Description

The first in a five-part series about the impact of royal diseases, doctors and medicine on British history. This part is largely concerned with the treatment of battle injuries sustained by Richard the Lionheart and Henry V and how doctors dealt with the musket and cannon injuries of the 17th century Civil War, although there is also material on the treatment of infectious diseases such as smallpox.
