    FOOD HYGIENE REGULATIONS 1960 Fleas of Guilty** were entered at the City Magistrates* Court on behalf of the Manager of a local restaurant to charges under the Food and Drugs Act and to offences under the Food Hygiene Regulations, and fines totalling £100 were imposed« MEAT INSPECTION One hundred and twenty-five visits have been made to Sandridge Slaughterhouse in co-operation with St. Albans Rural District Council, and the following have been examined, viz;- Cattle Calves Sheep Pigs 254 188 298 1356 HEALTH EDUCATION Lectures have been given to various Ladies’ Clubs on the woi'k of the Departmento These groups are particularly interested in food hygiene and air pollutiono A similar talk was also given to a group of students at one of the secondary modern schools, and they obviously took a great interest in this aspect of local government« : Another suc#essful course in food hygiene was arranged in conjunction with the College of Further Education and the Royal Institute of Public Health and Hygioa#o Inspectors from adjoining authorities collaborated in presenting the lectures®
