    The number of children examined at routine medical in- spections in 1949 was 9,233, as compared with 9,566 in 1948, viz.:— Entrants 3244 Second Age Group 1534 Third Age Group 4197 Other periodic inspections 258 Total 9233 In addition, 1,572 other inspections (re-examinations) were carried out by the Assistant Medical Officers. Arrangements for Medical Treatment. Treatment of School Children found to be defective is undertaken at the following School Clinics:— 16 Grosvenor Road, Wrexham; 1 Grosvenor Road, Wrexham; Nant-y-Glyn Road Clinic, Colwyn Bay; Plas-yn-Rhos, Rhos; County Clinic, Well Stret, Cefn; County Clinic, Gwersyllt; Watling Street, Llanrwst; County Clinic, Middle Lane, Denbigh; Welfare House, Llangollen; The Nursery, Llay. FINDINGS OF MEDICAL INSPECTION. Uncleanliness. Special visits are paid to the Schools by the School Nurses tor the purpose of examining the bodies and scalps of children. No previous notice of the visits is given to the Head Teacher or parent, but visits are sometimes made at the request of the Head Teacher who suspects unclean- liness and this co-operation is of great help.
