Description

Hereditary and family jaundice--hepatic cirrhosis. Simple persistent jaundice. Icterus neonatorum. Congenital hepatic cirrhosis of all kinds, including those with congenital obstruction of the bile ducts. Hepatic cirrhosis/jaundice in children (see also volume on alcoholism in children) (see also volume on syphilitic cirrhosis). Hepatic cirrhosis in young adults (especially non-alcoholic). Contains also some cases of hydatid of liver (especially with splenic or apparently splenic enlargement) for diagnostic purposes etc (Voelcker's and Whiplan's cases) but on this subject see also my collection on 'Biliary cirrhosis etc' (2nd series). Notes and cuttings on 'idiopathic' or 'primary' or 'essential' (non-alcoholic) (with or without evidence of congenital syphilis) hepatic cirrhosis in children and adults--but in this regard see also my volume (collection): 'Alcoholism in children etc 1897).
