About this work

Description

Probably a commemoration of Russian military medical services of the 1940s, produced in the 1960s by someone who had lived through those times. In a mobile hospital unit, two soldiers with head-wounds lie in bed. A heroic nurse stands over them with a determined expression. Right, an oil lamp. The nurse wears a military collar without signs of rank, therefore she is a private in the army. Said to show "Natalia Michalyova" but this has not been confirmed (http://www.allworldwars.com/Soviet%20War%20Paintings.html )
