Description
The east bank of the Tiber, looking south. The street is animated with tourists and pilgrims, people begging for alms, people conversing etc. Left, the entrance to the hospital for Armenian pilgrims. On the right, the "temple of Vesta" is used as a workshop for the repair and hire of wagons, with a number of wagons ready for use. Next to them is a trench through which the Cloaca Maxima empties into the Tiber. In the distance is the Aventine
