Description

A painting in Rita Simon's Traditional Massive style, depicting a landscape of green hills. Rita Simon stated of the artist that, "she brought her own oil paints and painted free, massive forms, not a tentative painter at all. She sad "I love painting the countryside because there is nobody there". She was a housewife who had depression. This painting is from her final phase".

The title has been taken from notes made during conversations between Rita Simon and Wellcome staff between 1995 and 1997.

The date has been taken from other items in the section.
