Lettering

His Majesty Charles the First mounted upon a white horse under a triumphal arch; attended by the Duke d'Espernon bearing the king's helmet. Taken from a capital picture of Sr. Ant. Van Dyke being 11 foot high & 9 foot wide, now in the royal palace at Kensington. Engrav'd by James Smith - humbly inscrib'd to the King.
