Lothar walks beside the Pope's horse in procession. Lothar (Lothair), King of Germany, deferred to Pope Innocent II against Innocent's rival Anacletus. Innocent II crowned Lothar as King of the Romans in 1131 and as Holy Roman Emperor in 1133
