![35. The1 total number of institutions open at the beginning of the4 triennium was 450. During tbe triennium 285 new institutions were* opened, tbe names of 36 institutions were added to tbe report as tbeir returns were received only from tbis triennium though they were old ones and 27 were closed. After omitting five institutions in the Persian- Gulf, they being foreign ones, the number of institutions open on 31st December 1944 was 739,. Statement Zb 36'.
