    West's Improvements on Forges. prevent the forge back becoming heated to that extent to which it has hereto¬ fore been liable. In conclusion I would wish it to be understood that I lay no claim to any parts of the forge which are well known and in use. And I do hereby declare that what I claim as my Invention of an improvement on 5 forges consists in producing a circulation of water within the forge back, as above described. In witness whereof, I, the said John West, have hereunto set my hand and seal, this Second day of June, in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and thirty-five. 10 JOHN (l.s.) WEST. AND BE IT REMEMBERED, that on the Second day of June, in the year of our Lord 1835, the aforesaid John West came before our said Lord the King in His Chancery, and acknowledged the Specification aforesaid, and all and every thing therein contained and specified, in form above 15 written. And also the Specification aforesaid was stamped according to the tenor of the Statute made for that purpose. Inrolled the Ninth day of June, in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and thirty-five.
