    GENEML PROVISIOl'J OP PFEALTH SERVICES IN THE BOROUGH Laborato The exaiaination of pathological speoinensy and the bacteriological exanination of nilky ice-cream and water is carried out at the Public Health Laboratoryy Gloucester Royal Hospitaly under the Medical Research Council’s Scheme 9 free of charge. Chemical analyses of water and sewage samples taken by the Public Health Inspector are carried out by the City Analyst y v/orcester. This laboratory is readily accessible <> Water analyses for the PTorth V/est Gloucestershire Water Board works are carried out by the Chemist to the Board. Infectious disease cases are admitted to Gloucester City Isolation Hospital at Over (Gloucester, Stroud and Forest Hospital Management Committee). Ambulance Facilities The County Council have an Ambulance Station in Oldbury Road with an establishment of four full-time drivers. Nursing in the Home Three District IPurses appointed by the County Health Committee live in the Borough and give a midwifery and general nursing service in the Borough and in the neigh¬ bouring parishes of Ashchurchy Tredington and Tv\/yning. Homo Help Service The Home Help Service is organised by the Area Health Sub-Committee of the County Council5 it provides for domestic help of tlie agedy sick and Piandicapped in their own homos.
