![TWELFTH REPORT OF THE I SOMERSET COUNTY PAUPER X^TTl^^ria ABYLHM, FOR THE YEAR 1859. ---- BY EGBERT BOYD, M.D., PHYSICIAN AND SUPERINTENDENT. --—-♦---- PART I. At the termination of the year 1858 there were 895 patients remaining in the asylum; of these, 191 were males and 204 females. In the year 1859 there were admitted 77 males Admissioi and 75 females ; there were discharged recovered, 85 males Discharge and 88 females; relieved, 6 males and 7 females ; not im¬ proved, 9 males and 3 females ; and 27 males and 19 females died during the year. The number remaining in the asylum on the 31stDecember was 191 males and 212 females; being an increase of 8 on the year. The recoveries were 14 per cent, and the deaths 8f per cent, on the number under treat- ment during the year. The Tables and Obituary appended, [as in previous reports,] furnish the particulars respecting the admissions, discharges, and deaths. There was no epidemic during the past year.
