Preperitoneal prosthetic herniorrhaphy.

Demonstrates a technique for the surgical treatment of groin hernia designated 'preperitoneal prosthetic herniorrhaphy'. The technique is compared and contrasted with the standard operations of herniotomy and herniorrhaphy performed for congenital and acquired inguinal hernia. The demonstration attempts to show that the technique has substantial advantages which may make it the procedure of choice.
