    The following three tables which concern piped water supplies, are compiled from, information submitted by District Sanitary Inspectors. Table 1 shows the numbers and results of bacteriological and chemical examinations of raw and treated piped water supplies in the 3 ounty d uring the year 1944. Bedwas and Machen, Mynyddislwyn (for part of area) Bedwellty nd Rhymney Urban District Councils (together with Caerphilly and ellygaer Urban District Councils in the County of Glamorgan) are onstituent authorities of the Rhymney Valley Water Board, bertillery, Abe ream, Risen and Mynyddislwyn Urban District ouncils are constituent authorities of the Western Valleys (Mon) ater Board. Both of these statutory Water Boards take samples of ater, both raw and treated, from their respective supplies. The umbers jnd results of the examinations of these samples arc not ncluded in the above Table, which is restricted to samples taken y the other urban and rural authorities in the County and check amples taken by the constituent authorities in the areas' of the two ater Boards.
