About this work

Description

Second interview, letting go. Part 2 of 2, this interview is set six weeks after the initial interview shown in part 1. Getting rid of irrational beliefs and self defeating behaviour is not easy, and Elisabeth, the mother, is having some difficulty. Her anxiety, shame, guilt and anger are closely looked at, and she is taught ways of minimising them, so allowing her to stop enabling and rescuing her daughter, and allowing both of them to become independent. Suitable for counsellors, parents, and alcohol and drug abuse workers. Melvyn Bowler is a leading exponent of using R.E.T. with the parents of children with alcohol, drug or behavioural problems.
