Correspondence between BPAS and DHSS regarding abortion services advertising, including guidance on advertising and use of terminology. All advertising material on abortion was required by law to be sent to DHSS for approval prior to publication to ensure it met the DHSS guidance.

Includes DHSS memos, instructions and correspondence, including correspondence regarding posters with wording deemed inappropriate by DHSS; correspondence concerning blanket approval for use of certain words and phrases; and other correspondence relating to advertising. Also includes papers and correspondence regarding abortion advertising abroad, including correspondence with the French Family Planning Association, correspondence concerning a visit of German gynecologists, and papers and memos regarding content of leaflets sent abroad for foreign patients.
