Cell morphology of sleeping sickness causing parasite: bloodstream form This transmission electron micrograph (TEM) shows a thin transverse (cross) section through a bloodstream form of Trypanosoma brucei brucei. Structures visible within the cell include the flagellum, subpellicular microtublues, rough endoplasmic reticulum, mitochondrion, glycosome, nucleolus and nucleus.
