Lettering

Her Royal Highness the Princess Charlotte Augusta, daughter of H.R.H. the Prince Regent & Consort of H.R.H. Prince Leopold of Saxe Coburg Saalfeld. Died Nov. 6. 1817 aged 22. Her gentle soul now rests with God above, And shares with angels an eternal love. A crown immortal decks her honoured head, By angels now her gentle spirit's led. Clarior antiquo Charlotta in sydere fulget, Illius hic virtus nomina perpetuat. Lately the hope & pride of the people of England, to whom this plate (as a just tribute) is dedicated with the most profound humility & veneration by J. Minasi. J. Minasi del.t artist to his Sicilian Majesty and H.R.H. the Duke of Sussex, & engraved by himself and T. Landseer.
