![date, November 15, I have operated for repair of the ileocecal valve in 36 cases, making 66 in all. Of these all bnt two or three have been examined by Dr. J. T. Case, rontgenologist of the Battle Creek Sanitarium, and in each case the valve has been found to be competent. In every case the pre¬ existing ilealstasis was found to be notably di¬ minished and with the exception of two or three cases the ileum was found to empty itself within normal time, or in less than ten hours. A full re¬ port of the operative results in these cases and of some improvements in technique will be made in a subsequent paper.-—j. h. k.]](https://iiif.wellcomecollection.org/image/b30800158_0037.jp2/full/800%2C/0/default.jpg)
