About this work

Description

Julian O'Halloran invstigates vivisection under New Labour. Animal rights groups argue that not all of them are necessary and feel that the Labour Government has failed to keep its election promise to set up a Royal Commission on animal testing. The law has banned the use of animals in cosmetic testing and of great apes for research purposes, but small primates are still used in a great many experiments.
