Leprosy: daily hand care

This leprosy patient is applying oil to her hands following soaking in water. Oiling the hands in leprosy is useful in two ways: the oil keeps moisture in the skin which helps to prevent drying and cracking; and the action of applying the oil helps maintain tissue flexibility.
