Documentary offering an evaluation of the work of Louis Pasteur, aside from his work on rabies. Scientific advisers Roger Gibey and Richard Moreau discuss Pasteur's early life and career, with an in-depth look at Pasteur's experimentation and findings on fermentations, spontaneous regeneration, pasturisation and his study of micro-organisms and germs. Much of the footage is shot in Arbois, where Pasteur grew up and lived for several years.
