Description
Account of receipts of rent from various manors in the Sandwich area of Kent. Containing on f. 107v 'Probata medicina ffor pe ffrenche poxe', probably written about 1503. This recipe for a cure for syphilis is at the back of an entry dated 1503 recording a payment by John Langley, gentleman of Knowlton in Kent, to the 'Pryncipall of Staple Yard in Holborn in London'. Above the prescription is a short musical composition on a five-line stave.

Physical description
1 volume 130 ff. folio. 28 x 21 1/2 cm. Paper. Original vellum covers damaged. Some leaves cut out and others mutilated. Several loose slips have been inserted on which the writing is the same as that of the text. These slips are attached to the leaves by pins of contemporary date.
