The original womb recordings were made in 1975. There is an accompanying leaflet by Dr. Murooka.
The enclosed leaflet has a message from Dr. Murooka to mothers as well as an outline of his research methodology into how babies have been soothed by various sounds. He also describes the sounds of the womb; what are the most attractive sounds for newborns; what the unborn hears and how best to use the recording. He also points out the value of the recording based on his research with psychologist Professor Sakurabayashi (excessive sounds and the mental health of an individual).
