Description
Presented by Jeremy Vine, this documentary investigates the recent outbreak of swine flu. All aspects of the virus are referred to, including personal testimonies and discussions about the spread of the disease. The efficacy of anti-viral drugs such as Tamiflu and the possibility of a swine flu vaccine are also discussed. Hilary Anderson recounts the story of a failed vaccination programme against swine flu in the US, 1976, which led to many cases of Guillian Barre syndrome.
