Borderline tuberculoid (BT) leprosy: dermal nerve This is a medium power view of an immunostained deep dermal nerve bundle in BT. It demonstrates the Schwann cells of the nerve, which are too few to be visible on the H&E stain. Immunostain for S100 protein (which stains Schwann cells brown).
